Liverpool host Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday hoping to maintain their excellent start to life under Arne Slot. As we look ahead to this Premier League fixture at Anfield, here at betting.bet you’ll find the latest pre-match odds from our betting partners at Ladbrokes as well as up to date team news, enhanced match insights and exclusive betting tips from our esteemed tipsters.

Form

Liverpool remain top of the Premier League despite the late postponement of last weekend’s Merseyside derby. The Reds have taken 35 points from their 14 league games so far and as well as boasting the division’s best defensive record, they have scored at least two goals in eight successive league games.

The red-hot form of Arne Slot’s side is not limited to the Premier League as they remain the only side with a 100% record in this season’s UEFA Champions League. The Reds won 1-0 away at Girona on Tuesday evening to make it six wins from six and all-but-guarantee a spot in the knockout stage of the competition.

Fulham have also made a solid start to the new season and head to Anfield just two points adrift of Nottingham Forest in fifth despite winning just one of their last four league games. Marco Silva’s side held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the weekend whilst their only away defeats in the league this season have come against Manchester United and Manchester City. Nottingham Forest are the only side in the top half of the Premier League to have scored fewer goals than Fulham this season and that of course remains a concern.

Liverpool v Fulham: Head-to-Head

Liverpool have won three straight league games against Fulham, including both home and away last season. Their most recent meeting was a 3-1 Liverpool win at Craven Cottage in April whilst the corresponding fixture at Anfield last season ended 4-3 to the hosts thanks to two late goals from Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Fulham have won just one of their last twelve league games against Liverpool.

Betting Tips

Liverpool look unbeatable at present and even at 2/7, a home win looks like a solid bet. The Reds have been particularly impressive at home, scoring at least two goals in their last nine matches in all competitions at Anfield. Over 1.5 team goals looks good value at 1/3 whilst we wouldn’t rule out over 2.5 team goals at Evens.

Since losing 1-0 at Manchester United on the opening night of the new Premier League season, Fulham have scored at least one goal in all 16 games played in all competitions. Liverpool may boast an impressive defensive record in the Premier League but with several defenders absent through injuries, both teams to score could prove a wise bet at 4/5.

Mohamed Salah is the man of the moment for Liverpool and the obvious choice in the various goalscorer markets. Salah scored the only goal at Girona on Tuesday evening, netting for the third straight game in all competitions. In the Premier League, Salah has scored in five straight matches, amassing a total of seven goals during that run. Salah to score at any time seems inevitable at odds of 3/4. There are bigger prices worth consideration if backing Salah to score first or to score two or more at 3/1 and 4/1 respectively.
