Sheffield United v Plymouth Argyle
Sheffield United to win - 2/11
There is not much value in backing Sheffield United to win as a single bet but they make a solid base for any accumulator bet this weekend. The Blades are in excellent form and riding high at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table. The league leaders are unbeaten in nine matches and yet to lose at Bramall Lane in the league this season.
Plymouth Argyle are the visitors on Saturday and head to South Yorkshire on the back of three straight defeats. The Pilgrims possess the division’s worst away record with just two points in ten games on the road this season and have conceded ten goals in their last two away league games.
Huddersfield Town v Lincoln City
Huddersfield Town to win - 4/5
Huddersfield Town are one of the most in-form sides in League One with four straight wins and no defeats in their last nine league games. The Terriers have won seven of their nine home league games so far including each of the last five.
Lincoln City remain within touching distance of the play-off places but are in the midst of a desperate run of form and are without a win in six straight league games. Lincoln City were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Charlton Athletic last weekend whilst their last away league game ended in a 2-1 defeat at lowly Rotherham United.
Shrewsbury Town v Wycombe Wanderers
Wycombe Wanderers to win - 13/20
Shrewsbury Town possess one of the worst home records in League One with just seven points and two wins from their nine home league games so far. Shrewsbury Town suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at relegation rivals Cambridge United last time out and have now lost six of their last seven.
Saturday’s visitors, Wycombe Wanderers have drawn back-to-back matches in League One but they remain top of the table thanks to a sixteen-game unbeaten run stretching back to August. A return of 21 points from ten away games gives The Chairboys the best away record in the division.
Wrexham v Cambridge United
Wrexham to win - 1/2
The club with the best home record in League One host the team with the worst away record on Saturday when Wrexham take on Cambridge United at the Racecourse. Wrexham have moved up to second in the table with four straight wins and have taken 28 points from a possible 30 at home this season. The Welsh side have not conceded a single goal in any of their last seven home matches in all competitions.
Cambridge United earned a convincing 4-1 win at home to Shrewsbury Town last weekend but their away form remains a real cause for concern. The League One strugglers have taken just four points from nine away league games so far and their only league win on the road this season came back in October.
Walsall v Barrow
Walsall to win - 4/5
Walsall leapfrogged Port Vale to move to the top of the League Two table last weekend by winning 1-0 in their top-of-the-table clash at Vale Park. The new league leaders are now unbeaten in nine league games and boast the division’s best home record with six wins and just one defeat (two draws) from nine home league games so far this season.
Barrow’s slide down the League Two table is showing little sign of slowing as they head into the weekend winless in eight league games. Barrow have not won on the road in League Two since September and have only actually scored twice in their last six away league games.
