Where To Watch Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur

All ten Premier League fixtures taking place between Tuesday and Thursday this week will be broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports. The North London derby between Arsenal and Spurs will kick off at the Emirates Stadium at 8pm on Wednesday evening.

Form

Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup by ten-man Manchester United on Sunday afternoon as their poor run of form continues. The Gunners are now winless in three matches in all competitions having also lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle United in the League Cup and drawing 1-1 at Brighton in the Premier League over the past ten days. Arsenal remain second in the Premier League table, six points adrift of leaders Liverpool with 40 points from their 20 matches so far. Mike Arteta’s side have not conceded a league goal at the Emirates since October.

Spurs’ injury crisis has heaped the pressure on manager Ange Postecoglu. A return of just one point from their last four league games has seen Spurs drop to 12th in the Premier League table with just 24 points in 20 matches so far. Spurs did beat Liverpool 1-0 in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final last week but needed extra-time to overcome non-league Tamworth in the FA Cup third round at the weekend.

Team News

Gabriel Jesus has handed Mikel Arteta another major injury blow with rumours he tore his ACL in the FA Cup loss against Manchester United. The Brazil international will definitely miss Wednesday's North London derby. The continued absence of Bukayo Saka is also a real concern for Arsenal whilst Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ethan Nwaneri also remain sidelined. There are also question marks over the fitness of Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and Jorginho.

Spurs make the short trip across North London without a number of first-team players with an injury list that includes Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Rodrigo Bentancur and Ben Davies. Richarlison is also 50/50 at best.

Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur: Head-to-Head

Arsenal have had the upper hand in recent meetings between these two fierce rivals and head into Wednesday's meeting unbeaten in five North London derbies. The corresponding fixture in the Premier League last season ended 2-2 whilst Arsenal ran out 1-0 winners when the sides met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this season.

Spurs’ last win at the Emirates Stadium came in a League Cup tie back in December 2018 whilst they have not won a league game at the home of their biggest rivals since November 2010.

Betting.Bet Betting Tips

Arsenal have a superb recent record against Spurs and despite a tough couple of weeks for The Gunners, they actually head into Wednesday’s clash as the side in better form. Arsenal to win looks solid at odds of 4/11. The last five league games contested by these sides at the Emirates have all produced over 2.5 match goals whilst Spurs’ 20 league games this season have produced a total of 72 goals. Over 2.5 match goals looks a sure thing on Wednesday at 2/5 whilst both teams to score is equally as appealing at odds of 3/5.

Spurs' struggles from set-pieces are well-documented and their makeshift defence faces a huge battle in trying to contain an Arsenal side that have proved a real danger in this area. Gabriel Magalhaes scored his fifth goal of the season in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United and remains the key danger, from corner kicks especially. Magalhaes looks solid value at 17/5 to score at any time or alternatively the 27-year-old is 13/1 to score first.

Spurs have one of the Premier League’s best disciplinary records with just 40 bookings dished out in their 20 league games so far this season. However, Yves Bissouma has racked up nine yellow cards in all competitions including five in the Premier League. The Mali international looks good value at 6/5 to be carded on Wednesday evening.
