Paris Saint-Germain v Aston Villa will take place at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday 9th April. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm with live televised coverage available on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate. Domestic Form

PSG are on course for a memorable season in the French capital with an unprecedented treble still very much on the cards. PSG remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 with 23 wins and five draws from their 28 league games played so far whilst they are also set to meet Reims in the final of the Coupe de France. Luis Enrique’s side have won twelve straight domestic league and cup games, most recently winning 1-0 at home to Angers last weekend.

Aston Villa have won seven successive games in all competitions and remain right in the mix for Champions League qualification. A 2-1 home win against Nottingham Forest last weekend was their third straight Premier League win. With 46 goals scored in 31 league games, Aston Villa are the lowest scoring team in the Premier League’s top ten.

Road To The Quarter-Final

Paris Saint-Germain needed three successive wins to scrape through the league phase of the Champions League in 15th position. PSG then defeated compatriots Brest 10-0 in a one-sided two-legged play-off. In the last-16, PSG overcame Liverpool on penalties after earning a deserved 1-0 win at Anfield in the second leg.

Aston Villa were automatic qualifiers for the last-16 having finished eighth in the league phase with five wins from their eight matches. Club Brugge were the opposition in the last-16 with Aston Villa winning home and away to secure a 6-1 aggregate win.

PSG and Aston Villa have never met in a competitive fixture. Aston Villa’s only previous encounter with French opposition was a 1-0 aggregate win over Bordeaux in the 1997/98 UEFA Cup.

Doue scored the only goal of the game in last weekend’s win over Angers to extend his record to four goals from his side’s last three matches. Doue is priced at 19/10 to score at any time on Wednesday.
