Unibet Add Selections: Turn Singles into Accas for Bigger Payouts

Unibet’s Add Selections feature lets you add extra legs to a bet you have already placed, turning a single into an acca without staking a penny more. Here is how it works, what the rules allow, and a worked example showing exactly how the odds stack up.

Unibet Add Selections: Turn Singles into Accas for Bigger Payouts

Unibet has added a feature called Add Selections to its sportsbook. Instead of leaving a bet alone once it is placed, you can now add one or more extra legs to it while it is still open, turning a single into a double, or a treble into a four fold, without placing a separate bet.

It is a genuine change to how a bet slip behaves. Most betting sites let you cash out early or swap a leg in a bet builder, but very few let you extend a live bet with a brand new selection from a completely different match.

How Add Selections works

The flow is four steps.

  1. Place your bet as normal, either a single or a straight accumulator.
  2. Open My Bets and choose Add Selections on an eligible bet.
  3. Pick one or more extra selections, including ones from other events.
  4. Confirm. The bet updates instantly with the new combined odds and new potential returns.

Behind the scenes the original bet is replaced by a new bet that includes the extra legs. Your stake stays exactly the same, and the bet is repriced using the odds available at the moment you edit it.

A worked example

Say you place a £10 single on a home win at odds of 4/5. Potential return is £18.

Kick off arrives, your team goes a goal up, and you spot a second match you fancy at evens. Rather than place a new £10 bet, you open the original one and add that selection.

StageSelectionsOddsStakePotential return
Original betHome win4/5£10£18.00
After adding one legHome win, plus second match13/5£10£36.00
After adding two legsThree selections, third at 1/222/5£10£54.00

The stake is still £10 in all three rows. What changes is the shape of the bet: one leg needs one result, three legs need three. Roughly trebling the odds means roughly trebling the return, and it also means two extra ways to lose the same tenner.

22/5

That is the trade off in one line. Add Selections is not free value, it is a way to restructure a bet you have already committed to.

The rules that matter

  • The original bet must be a single or a straight accumulator. Bet builder bets cannot be extended.
  • At least one selection must still be unsettled when you edit. Suspended selections count as unsettled.
  • Legs already settled as winners stay in the bet and keep their value, as long as one leg was still live at the time of the edit.
  • You cannot remove a selection, and you cannot change the stake.
  • Bets placed with free bets, bonuses or rewards are not eligible.
  • Extra selections are added at the price showing when you edit, and the whole bet is repriced. If the price moves before you confirm, the standard price change notice applies.
  • Once you confirm, it is final. There is no going back to the original bet.

What happens to cash out

If cash out was available on the original bet it can remain available on the edited one, but only when every selection, including the new ones, is cash out eligible. Add a leg from a market without cash out and you can lose the option on the whole bet, so it is worth checking before confirming.

Void legs follow standard accumulator rules: the bet settles on the remaining selections at the reduced odds.

When it is actually useful

Three situations stand out.

The first is a winning single you want to roll on. Your leg has landed, the money is sitting there, and rather than withdraw and re bet you push the same stake into a second selection.

The second is a spotted price. You placed an acca, then a market you like drifts out. Adding it at the bigger price beats waiting for the original bet to settle.

The third is discipline. Because the stake is locked, you cannot chase by staking more. If you want a bigger return you have to accept more risk on the same money, which is a much clearer decision than topping up a bet.

The catch worth stating plainly

Every leg you add makes the bet harder to win. A settled winner inside an extended acca is worth nothing on its own if a later leg loses. Adding a selection to a bet that is already going well can turn a comfortable winner into a losing slip.

Unibet can also restrict, suspend or withdraw the feature at any time, and can decline an edit where there has been an obvious pricing error. Treat every edit as a fresh bet, because that is exactly what it is.

Worth comparing against the early payout and acca offers on our member promotions page before deciding whether extending a bet or taking a settled result is the better call.
