Daniel King/John Patrick Ryan
Live price from 10 Bet
SMALLCRAFTWARNING might be nine years old, but nobody appears to have told him. He's won his last two races and looks well placed to complete the hat trick at Fairyhouse. John Patrick Ryan's gelding has been enjoying himself over hurdles, following up his Roscommon success with another victory at Gowran Park last weekend. He's clearly found a new lease of life, and the handicapper might be about to discover that the hard way. The interesting bit is his return to fences. He's now rated 111 over hurdles but gets to compete from just 97 over the larger obstacles. That's a 14lb difference, and given he's already won a chase at Killarney, it's not as though he's going to need directions on how to jump them. Daniel King retains the ride and the trip of three miles should suit him nicely. There are a few younger legs in opposition, but Smallcraftwarning is in the form of his life and might just give them all a lesson in respecting their elders. Three wins on the bounce? This old boy clearly hasn't received his retirement brochure.

Dairy Force 9/2
Kevin Healy(7)/Gordon Elliott
Live price from LiveScore Bet
DAIRY FORCE has finally remembered where the winning post is, and now he's found it, there's every chance he could make another visit before the Irish weather turns miserable. Gordon Elliott's gelding had been knocking on the door for months before finally getting his head in front at Clonmel nine days ago. He stayed on strongly after the last to score by three quarters of a length, building on an excellent second at Downpatrick where he finished well clear of the third. The handicapper has responded with a 5lb rise to 110, but Kevin Healy takes a handy 7lb off, leaving him effectively better off than for that recent victory. That's a rather nice bit of arithmetic if you're backing him. The decent ground has clearly brought out the best in Dairy Force, and Elliott has been making hay while the sun shines. With conditions again looking suitable and his confidence finally restored, he could well strike again before the winter mud arrives and spoils everyone's fun.
