Dancing Dame 5/6
Jonathan Burke/James Owen
Live price from Bet365
DANCING DAME can make the most of this step up in trip and finally open her account over hurdles. James Owen's seven year old made a promising start for the yard when second at Fakenham in May, finishing clear of the remainder, before failing to reproduce that effort at Newton Abbot just 12 days later. She returns fresh after a 116 day break and the move up in distance could unlock further improvement, while a hood for the first time may also help. Her best hurdles form sets a clear standard among those with experience under rules and, with the lightly raced Golden Tiara the main unknown, Dancing Dame looks well placed to get off the mark.

Ziggy's Triton 3/1
Daniel Tudhope/David O'Meara
Live price from Bet365
ZIGGY'S TRITON arrives in good form and looks capable of adding to his York success from earlier in the season. David O'Meara's four year old was beaten just half a length at Southwell on his penultimate start before finishing fifth at Redcar on Saturday, where he was making headway when impeded and was ultimately beaten only three lengths. He remains just 1lb higher than when winning a competitive 5f handicap at York in July and the return to good to firm ground should suit. This represents a slight drop in grade from some of his assignments this summer and, with Daniel Tudhope back aboard, he looks capable of returning to winning ways.

Farouche 40/1
Kaiya Fraser/Stuart Williams
Live price from 7Bet
FAROUCHE is an interesting newcomer at a big price in a maiden where those with experience have set only a modest standard. Stuart Williams' filly is by Stradivarius and her pedigree offers encouragement for this opening test over a mile, with Irish Derby winner Westover among her close relatives. Her dam was also a winner as a two year old, so there is enough speed in the family to suggest she need not be inconvenienced by starting at this trip. The experienced runners are entitled to improve, but none look particularly formidable and, at long odds, Farouche could make an immediate impact if sufficiently ready on debut.
