Odds Competitiveness
7/12
On the whole, Betarno's pricing is solid. The sportsbook runs on well established international sportsbook technology as part of the ProgressPlay setup, and that shows in standard prices that are competitive across football and most major sports, even if Betarno won't always have the outright best price on a given event.
One drawback is that Betarno doesn't feature on the main odds comparison sites, so checking its prices against rival bookmakers takes an extra step of visiting the site directly rather than a quick glance at a comparison grid.
Boosted Odds are available across sports including football, tennis and basketball, adding a bit of extra value on top of the standard pricing. Day to day odds are perfectly respectable, though the range of price enhancements trails some of the UK's bigger bookmakers.
Market Coverage
4.5/8
The expected sports are all here at Betarno: football, horse racing, tennis, basketball, cricket and rugby lead the way, backed by strong coverage of European and international sport more broadly, plus a good showing for esports in terms of events and markets.
The trade off is a sports menu that runs long. Mainstream options sit alongside things like water polo and pickleball, great if that happens to be your sport, but not something most UK punters are likely to seek out on a weekend. Trimming that menu down would make browsing easier.
Market depth is best on football, particularly for bigger fixtures, though the gap with the top UK sportsbooks shows up once you go looking for more specialist markets. Horse racing is more basic still, with the core markets present but well short of what dedicated racing bookmakers offer.
There's no shortage of things to bet on at Betarno overall. The breadth of sports and the esports coverage are genuine positives, but more focus on depth within the markets UK bettors actually use would improve things further.
In-Play Betting
2/3
In-play is clearly central to how Betarno positions its sportsbook. ‘Live’ sits right next to ‘Sport’ at the top of the page, making it a single click to reach events already underway, and there's usually plenty on offer across football, tennis, basketball, esports and assorted niche sports.
Individual event pages hold up well too, pairing live markets with visual trackers, scores and match details. What stood out to me were the market counts shown next to each category, which look substantial at first glance. Look closer, though, and Betarno is counting individual betting options rather than distinct market types, so the numbers flatter the actual selection somewhat.
Put Betarno next to bet365 and the gap in genuine in-play market variety becomes clear. The live product is prominent and easy to reach, but the real depth of markets doesn't quite match the impression those headline numbers give.
Bet Builder
1/3
A Bet Builder tool is built into Betarno, and matches that support it carry a clear ‘BB’ tag, so spotting eligible games isn't a problem. The range of markets on offer for building your own same game multiple is respectable.
The weak point is how the system actually behaves. Pick one market and your next selection might turn out to be incompatible, yet that incompatible option is still sitting there available to click, rather than being greyed out once it stops being a legitimate combination.
That turns a more ambitious Bet Builder into a bit of trial and error, adding selections just to find out which ones the system will let you keep. The feature works, it just needs a smarter interface behind it.
Live Streaming
0/2
You won't find any live streaming at Betarno, for horse racing, football or anything else. Given how heavily the ‘Live’ betting product is pushed across the site, that's a noticeable gap. Live visualisations and match stats are available on some events, but they're no replacement for actually watching the sport.
There's context worth adding here. Streaming rights are expensive, and the cost doesn't scale down neatly with a smaller customer base, so it's genuinely harder for a smaller bookmaker to make the numbers work compared with a major operator spreading that cost across millions of customers.
Understandable from a business angle then, but still a drawback if you're the one wanting to watch. Anyone who values streaming as part of their betting experience will find Betarno lagging behind the bigger UK brands here.
Cash Out
2/2
Betarno lets you cash out early on selected sports, events and markets, so you don't have to wait for the final whistle to settle a bet. Pre-match and in-play bets are both covered, and it works on singles as well as multiples, though not every single bet on the site will qualify for it.
Partial Cash Out is also on offer. This means you can take some of your stake off the table and let the rest of the bet keep running, which is a handy option when you're watching a game live.
Whether Cash Out shows up depends on the event and the market in question, so it's worth checking the bet slip each time rather than assuming it will be there.

Ongoing Promotions
5/12
Permanent sportsbook promotions aren't especially numerous at Betarno, but there is some effort to add value around bigger competitions and events. The Acca Super Boost stands out among the regulars, offering up to a 100% profit boost on qualifying accumulators, alongside the separate Boosted Odds offering.
‘Bet & Get’ offers also crop up fairly often, rewarding a qualifying deposit and bet with a Free Bet, which functions much like an old fashioned reload bonus for existing customers.
Keep an eye out too for the bigger cashback promotions, which tend to appear around major events such as Champions League football, sometimes offering cashback as high as £500. That ceiling is notably generous for a smaller sportsbook and will appeal to bigger stakers in particular.
Bear in mind this runs on an agent based white label platform, which can complicate how certain promotions are built and processed. Given that, Betarno does a reasonable job of adding extra value this way, even if the list of permanent promotions stays fairly short.
Daily Promotions
3/8
Day to day promotions tied to specific fixtures are fairly sparse at Betarno. This feels like an area with room to grow, especially around the standout matches and events on any given day.
Part of the issue is that there's no promotional carousel at the top of the site. Plenty of bookmakers use that space to highlight daily offers, boosted prices or event specials the moment you log in, and Betarno lacks that same visual focal point.
Boosted Odds and event based promotions do still appear, but the sportsbook doesn't quite give the impression of a fresh offer waiting every day. A stronger push on featured event promotions, plus a more prominent carousel, would make a real difference here.
Price Boosts
2/4
A ‘Boosted Odds’ section sits in the left hand menu at Betarno, so finding enhanced prices doesn't take any digging. Football dominates the list, with a solid range of boosted singles across the major competitions.
Alongside those are ‘Multiples Of The Day’, ready made accumulators offered at improved odds. These are actually presented well, with a yellow tab spelling out the percentage boost so the extra value is obvious at a glance.
The boosted singles don't get the same treatment. There's no side by side ‘was’ and ‘now’ price, so working out exactly how much of a boost you're getting takes a bit more effort than it should.
Taken as a whole, there's a reasonable spread of enhanced prices and having them grouped in one place helps. The Multiples Of The Day stand out as the best presented part of it; the singles could do with the same clarity applied.
A dedicated Boosted Odds area is worth having, and Multiples Of The Day lift the offering above what it looks like at first glance. Showing the original price next to the boosted one, plus a bit more variety in the boosts themselves, would help. More volume of boosts generally would make a bigger difference to players too.
Loyalty Programme
1/2
Betarno runs a Rewards Programme where play earns points, points move you up through loyalty tiers, and those points can then be spent in a Rewards Store. Free Bets, casino bonuses and Free Spins all feature, so it's not only sports bettors who benefit.
I'm generally not won over by these schemes at smaller operators. It often takes a fair amount of turnover to bank enough points for something worthwhile, and I'd rather see that value handed back directly through promotions, cashback or Free Bets.
Some of the rewards also come with restrictions that chip away at their value further. Still, having a structured loyalty scheme beats having no way at all to reward regular customers.

Design & Interface1/4
Mobile App
2/8
There's no standalone Betarno app for iOS or Android at present. Mobile users get the full sportsbook through the browser instead, and while everything is technically accessible, the way it's presented takes some adjusting to.
The sportsbook loads inside a framed section of the page, and on a phone screen that frame can end up taking up only about half the display, with a carousel above it that doesn't add much. You can end up scrolling inside that framed sportsbook section, then having to scroll the wider page separately to move around, which feels clunky in practice.
I cover this in more depth under usability, since it's really a quirk of the wider ProgressPlay setup rather than something specific to Betarno's own sportsbook. The short version is that mobile betting works fine without an app, it just isn't the smoothest version of that experience.
Navigation & Search
3/4
Once you know your way around, Betarno is reasonably easy to navigate, and the left hand menu is a particular plus point. Rather than opening a sport, loading a new page and navigating again to reach a competition, you can filter straight through from the same menu.
That's especially useful moving between different leagues or sports, letting you drill down to the right competition in fewer clicks. It's one spot where the older European style layout actually pays off for Betarno.
With so many sports covered, the menu does run long, mixing popular UK sports with plenty of niche European and international options. Filtering through it, though, makes that breadth of coverage manageable rather than overwhelming.
Inside an event, markets are grouped into categories, Live fixtures are given prominence, Bet Builder eligible matches are tagged ‘BB’, and Boosted Odds get their own section.
The iframe setup does make general navigation more awkward than necessary, particularly with the separate scrolling of the framed sportsbook and the wider page. Focused specifically on the menu structure though, Betarno gets more right than wrong.
Bet Slip Usability
1.5/4
For straightforward singles, the Betarno bet slip does its job, showing your selection, the odds, your stake and the potential return clearly enough. On desktop it stays anchored alongside the sportsbook as you browse other events and markets.
Multiples and combination bets are where it struggles. Bet types like Lucky 15s aren't labelled in the familiar way UK bettors would expect from a typical bookmaker, so if you're used to betting this way, particularly on horse racing, the layout can be confusing at first.
This is another spot where the older European style behind the sportsbook shows through. The functionality exists, it just isn't wrapped in the terminology and layout most UK bettors would immediately recognise.
The Bet Builder problems mentioned earlier crop up here too, with incompatible selections staying selectable rather than being removed automatically. For simple bets the slip is perfectly adequate, but combination bets and Bet Builders both need work on the user experience.
Design & Interface
1/4
Betarno's branding is genuinely decent when you first land on the site, with a modern, clean look on the landing pages. Where things change is once you register and step into the actual sportsbook itself, which looks and feels considerably older than the pages that got you there.
That gap bothers me a little. The landing pages set an expectation for what the betting experience will be like, and then the product you actually use afterwards is a different style entirely. It's a bit misleading to draw people in on branding that doesn't reflect the sportsbook they'll be using day to day.
The promotional banner carousel doesn't do the site any favours either. It leans on generic stock imagery with text over the top and doesn't feel tailored to Betarno at all, which is a missed opportunity given how prominent a position it occupies.
The sportsbook itself has an older European feel and runs a four column desktop layout. Some will like having that much information visible at once, making it quick to move between sports, competitions and events; others will find it cluttered. That's largely down to personal taste.
The bigger criticism from me is simply that it looks dated. This style of sportsbook technology hasn't moved on much in around a decade of me looking at it. Betarno clearly can produce attractive branding, as the landing pages show, but the platform behind it is overdue an overhaul.

Withdrawals
1/2
Choice is where Betarno's withdrawals stand out, with debit card, PayPal, Skrill, Payz, Neteller, Apple Pay and Instant Bank Payment all supported. That's a wider spread than plenty of UK bookmakers manage, especially useful if eWallets are your preference.
Requests take one business day to process internally before the money is sent on, according to Betarno, and after that the timing depends on the method chosen, with eWallets and Instant Bank Payment tending to land quicker than card payments.
That's a fair turnaround, though it's worth noting some of the bigger UK operators now settle withdrawals the same day, occasionally landing on a debit card within hours.
Less welcome is the withdrawal fee, a charge of 1% per withdrawal capped at £3. The payment method choice is a genuine strength and the processing time is acceptable, but scrapping that fee and speeding things up further would make this a stronger area overall.
Banking Options
2/2
Deposit choice is a genuine strength at Betarno, covering major debit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Payz, Paysafecard and Instant Bank Payment. Whatever your preferred way of funding an account, there's a decent chance it's covered.
Apple Pay suits anyone depositing from a phone, and having PayPal, Skrill and Neteller together gives Betarno a better eWallet lineup than a lot of UK bookmakers manage. Instant Bank Payment is there too for anyone who'd rather pay straight from their bank account.
This is one of the better parts of the overall Betarno banking setup. Cards, eWallets, mobile payments and bank transfers are all catered for, so most customers should find a deposit method that suits them without much searching.
Sign-Up Process
1.5/2
Registering at Betarno is a fairly simple process. You provide the standard details, email, name, date of birth, mobile number and home address, and your account is set up from there.
Identity and age then need to be verified before you can deposit or place a bet. That's usually completed automatically as part of registration, though you may occasionally be asked for extra documents such as photo ID or proof of address.
Nothing about sign up feels overly long or complicated. It's easy to follow from start to finish, with no unnecessary extra steps getting in the way of opening an account.
Verification Process
1.5/2
Before you can deposit or bet, Betarno runs KYC checks on your identity and age, looking at details such as your name, address and date of birth, with further checks carried out where necessary.
Where documents are needed, expect requests for photo ID such as a passport or driving licence, and proof of address like a recent bill or bank statement. Source of Funds or Source of Wealth checks may also be requested in certain cases.
Betarno states that document verification can take up to three working days once documents are received, which is a fair timeframe for a manual review, though clearer information on typical turnaround for automatic electronic verification would be a welcome addition.
Overall the verification requirements here are standard for a UK bookmaker, covering the checks and documentation you'd generally expect to provide.
Security
1.5/2
Betarno protects data in transit with 128 bit Secure Socket Layer encryption and standard firewall technology. Payments go through specialist processors that carry their own fraud and security controls.
Your personal data sits with ProgressPlay, the company that runs the site, and it says it applies technical and organisational measures to stop that data being lost, accessed without permission, altered or disclosed. Betarno can also ask for identity or payment verification when needed, which is another layer against fraud on accounts.
The operator behind Betarno is ProgressPlay Limited, licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the UK Gambling Commission under account number 39335, and also licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.
None of this is unusual for a UK facing bookmaker, and that's really the point. Encryption, secure payments, identity checks and UKGC oversight are the baseline protections you should expect before handing over money or personal details, and Betarno covers them.

Customer Support
2.5/4
Support at Betarno comes through live chat and email, with live chat the faster route if you need help with your account. It's advertised as running 24/7, which matters given how much betting happens outside normal office hours.
An FAQ and Help Centre back this up, covering the usual topics of accounts, verification, deposits, withdrawals, bonuses and responsible gambling. Both would benefit from fuller answers and broader coverage, but they do the job for basic queries without needing to contact anyone.
Like most online bookmakers, Betarno doesn't offer a phone line. I'd still like to see this added, even limited to standard working hours, since some account, verification or payment issues are just easier to resolve by talking to a person directly.
Between round the clock live chat and email, the main support bases are covered, while the FAQ and Help Centre are adequate rather than exceptional. Adding phone support and expanding the help section would lift the overall service.
Betting Tools
0.5/2
On selected events, Betarno provides live match trackers and visualisations covering scores, progress and stats, all without leaving the sportsbook page. Paired with the prominently featured In Play section, this gives a reasonable snapshot of a match before you commit to a live bet.
Outside of that, dedicated betting tools are thin on the ground. A proper stats and research area covering teams, players, past results and form would be a welcome addition, as would something practical like a bet calculator.
It's also a shame there's no dedicated sports betting blog attached to Betarno. Being on the ProgressPlay platform is no barrier to this, since Interbet ran on the same platform previously and built up a genuinely good sports blog full of previews, tips and editorial content. That's the kind of thing Betarno could add independently of whatever the underlying sportsbook technology allows.
I accept there are limits to what can be changed on a white label platform when it comes to core betting functionality. Content and extra resources are a different matter though, and don't face the same constraints.
The live visualisations do a solid job as far as they go, but there's clear room for Betarno to build out more stats, research tools and editorial content around the sportsbook itself.
Account Management
1.5/2
Managing your account at Betarno is fairly straightforward, with the key settings and information easy enough to reach. Deposits, withdrawals, transaction history, some personal details and verification information can all be handled from within the account area.
The Safer Gambling section stands out as particularly thorough, letting you set daily, weekly and monthly limits on deposits, wagering and losses, alongside Reality Checks, Time Out and self exclusion. These controls apply across the wider ProgressPlay network rather than being limited to your Betarno account alone.
Basic sportsbook preferences, such as how odds are displayed, can also be adjusted, and bonuses or rewards are accessible from the relevant sections of the account.
Betarno handles account management well overall. Most of what you'd need is available without contacting support, and the Safer Gambling tools in particular are a strong point. It isn't the most polished presentation among leading sportsbooks, but functionally there's little missing.
Responsible Gambling
2/2
A well stocked set of Responsible Gambling tools sits within an easily reached Safer Gambling section at Betarno. Deposit, Wagering and Loss Limits can all be set on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and Reality Checks, Time Out and Self Exclusion are all available too.
Credit is also due for the range of external organisations listed for further help and support. There's a good amount of signposting toward independent services for anyone concerned their gambling is becoming a problem, which is exactly what should be expected from a responsible UK operator.
One area for improvement is the footer, which could carry a fuller set of Responsible Gambling links for direct access to individual tools and support services, rather than needing to dig through the main site.
Giving Responsible Gambling more visibility elsewhere, perhaps through an occasional banner in the main carousel, would help too. On balance Betarno offers a strong set of Responsible Gambling tools and deserves credit for the external support information provided; making it all more visible and accessible would be the next step.
