DragonBet

Prices are competitive rather than outstanding, and DragonBet openly say they will look to match or beat a rival's price if you flag it, a fair and unusually transparent approach.

Strong Welsh football and rugby coverage nobody else prioritises, plus a broad general sportsbook. Racing markets are solid without matching the depth of the dedicated racing independents.

In play betting spans football, rugby and more with a fair spread of markets. Racing in play is present but narrower, reflecting the site's broader sports focus rather than pure racing depth.

Bet builder covers the main football leagues competently, letting you combine player and match markets. Coverage drops off outside the Premier League and top European ties.

Thousands of races streamed across the year including key meetings, a genuine strength for a smaller independent and one racing punters will actually use week to week.

Cash out works pre match and in play as promised and settles promptly. Partial cash out is included too, which is more than some independents bother offering.

Promotions rotate weekly with a racing and football mix, but the overall promotional calendar is lighter than the major operators, more a steady trickle than a constant stream.

Dragon Boosts land regularly on racing and football, a decent everyday incentive even if the size of individual boosts is nothing spectacular compared with the market leaders.

Dragon Boosts are the headline promotional tool and appear consistently, though the enhancement levels are modest rather than the kind of eye catching prices that grab headlines.

No fixed headline free bet advertised on the main site at review time, promotional terms have shifted around, so check the current page rather than assume a figure.

No structured VIP tiering as such, reward comes through ongoing boosts and personal account management rather than points, which suits regulars but lacks visible status perks.

The app rated 4.2 on Google Play at last check, with live streaming, cash out and bet builder all present. It is a young app so occasional rough edges are still being ironed out.

Navigation is intuitive with sport tabs up top and a working search bar, though the sheer breadth of sports listed can make racing feel a step further from the homepage than it should.

The slip is simple and reliable, each way and multiples display cleanly, and there is little clutter. It will not win design awards but it never confuses you either.

Clean, Welsh flavoured branding with a proper racing feel rather than generic template. Loads fast, uncluttered pages, a refreshing change from busier corporate sites.

Withdrawals are processed with no stated fees and generally clear within a few working days, in line with most independents rather than instant same day payouts.

Cards and bank transfer cover deposits with no fees either way, but the range of e wallets is thin next to bigger operators, so Apple Pay fans may be disappointed.

Registration takes under five minutes with the option to defer depositing, and you can set your own limits before you ever fund the account, a sensible sequence.

KYC has to be completed before any withdrawal and DragonBet are noted as diligent here, meaning it can feel like extra friction early on but it is done properly.

UKGC licensed with SSL encryption and a verification process rated as strict by third party reviewers, arguably tighter at signup than several bigger rivals.

Live chat runs around the clock and was responsive in testing, though there is no phone line, so anyone who prefers to talk it through will have to make do with typing.

Tools are modest, no dedicated stats hub, but they will price up a market on request if you contact them directly, a genuinely old school touch that suits racing regulars.

Account settings are clear and Welsh language toggle is a nice touch nobody else bothers with. Statement and open bets sections are easy to navigate on both web and app.

Self exclusion, deposit and loss limits are all in place with links out to GamCare, and the operator is explicit about diligence here, a genuine strength for a young company.
