Irish betting is now licensed by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland
Ireland has moved its whole betting market onto one regulator. Since February 2026 the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, set up under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, issues every betting licence, taking over the remote bookmaker and betting intermediary licences that Revenue used to grant. Remote licences went live on 1 July 2026, so any site taking Irish accounts today needs a current GRAI licence.
