Competition

Premier League

This weekend's Premier League action concludes on Sunday afternoon as Fulham host Manchester United at Craven Cottage. The fixture is scheduled to kick off at 4:30pm with live coverage in the UK on Sky Sports.

Both Fulham and Manchester United have endured disappointing starts to the new campaign and will be looking to go into the international break on a high. Fulham currently sit 18th in the Premier League table with just one point from their opening four matches, although Alvaro Arbeloa's side showed signs of improvement with a goalless draw at Liverpool last weekend before recording a 3-2 Carabao Cup victory at West Ham United in midweek. Manchester United have taken just four points from their first four league games and were beaten by Manchester City in last weekend's derby. Michael Carrick's side also exited the Carabao Cup in midweek following a 3-2 defeat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester United at 1/1

Match Result

Manchester United have made a disappointing start to the new campaign but their record at Craven Cottage provides encouragement ahead of Sunday's fixture. The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League visits to Fulham, recording eight victories and two draws. Carrick's side have also registered more shots than any other Premier League club this season, with 84 attempts across their opening four matches. With Fulham still searching for their first league victory of the campaign, we're backing Manchester United to claim all three points and ease the pressure on their manager.

Yes at 8/15

Both Teams To Score

Manchester United have struggled defensively this season and are yet to keep a clean sheet in five domestic matches. The Red Devils have conceded seven goals in their opening four Premier League fixtures and shipped another three against Brighton in the Carabao Cup in midweek. Fulham have also struggled for consistency but scored three goals in their midweek victory at West Ham and have the attacking quality to trouble Sunday's visitors. With both clubs looking vulnerable defensively, we're backing both teams to find the net at Craven Cottage.

Bruno Fernandes Over 3 shots on target at 9/1

Player Shots On Target

Bruno Fernandes has been Manchester United's chief attacking threat this season and leads the Premier League for total shots, registering 16 attempts across his opening four matches. The Portuguese international is averaging four shots per league appearance and should have plenty of opportunities to add to that tally against a Fulham side that has taken just one point from a possible 12. Manchester United have registered a league-high 84 shots this season and we're backing their captain to maintain his impressive shot volume on Sunday.

Over 9.5 corners at 4/6

Total Corners

Both Fulham and Manchester United have registered impressive corner statistics through the opening four rounds of the Premier League season. The Cottagers are averaging 6.3 corners per game whilst Manchester United are close behind with an average of 5.8. With Carrick's side registering more shots than any other Premier League club this season and both teams desperate for a much-needed victory, we're expecting plenty of attacking intent at Craven Cottage. Over 9.5 match corners looks worth consideration.

Gonzalo Garcia at 7/4

Anytime Goalscorer

Gonzalo García has made an encouraging start to life in the Premier League and looks a solid selection against a Manchester United defence that is yet to keep a clean sheet this season. The Spaniard has registered 12 shots across his opening four league appearances, including three against Chelsea and five against Crystal Palace in Fulham's two home fixtures. García was on target against Chelsea on the opening weekend and with United conceding 10 goals in five domestic matches, looks good value to add to his goalscoring tally.

Verdict

Manchester United look the stronger side and should have enough on the road. Both sides carry enough threat going forward that goals look the safer read here. Stephen Welch make Manchester United at 1/1 the standout call on the card.
