About Barry Jones
Born in Cardiff, Barry reached the top of professional boxing when he became WBO super featherweight world champion in December 1997.
After his fighting career, Barry remained immersed in the sport and developed a second career in boxing broadcasting. Today he is part of DAZN's UK boxing team, providing co-commentary and analysis on major fight nights.
It's a fairly useful combination for us: former world champion, current big fight commentator and somebody who still spends an awful lot of Saturday nights sitting a few feet away from a boxing ring.
