3 Super Hot Teapots is a 2026 release from 3 Oaks Gaming that takes the studio's familiar Hold and Win formula and serves it up as a cheerful Asian tea party. Released on 19 August 2026, it uses a traditional 5x3 grid with 25 fixed paylines, with three colourful teapots sitting above the reels and controlling the game's main bonus modifiers.
The presentation is considerably more playful than the mechanics underneath it. A smiling granny leads a collection of dogs, rabbits, turtles and lions, while the orange and gold backdrop gives everything a warm, almost storybook appearance. It's bright, friendly and slightly ridiculous, which works surprisingly well for a game built around locking numbered symbols onto a grid.
The real attraction is the Hold n Win Bonus Game. Bonus Symbols carry values between 1x and 10x, while three special teapots can activate Boost, Double and Multi modifiers. You might enter the feature with only one modifier active, get a combination of two or, if things line up particularly nicely, take all three into the bonus together.
There's also a Bonus Wheel before the Hold and Win begins, and this is probably the game's best attempt to freshen up the familiar three pot formula. The wheel can add another modifier, additional Bonus Symbols or one of the fixed jackpots before the first Respin has even started.
That's really the story of 3 Super Hot Teapots. The underlying idea is extremely familiar, but there are enough opportunities for the three modifiers to combine that the bonus can become considerably better than the simple fruit machine style base game suggests.
It's certainly not a new recipe.
3 Oaks has just remembered that tea tastes better when you put a few things in it.
Bonus Symbols provide the prizes inside Hold n Win, with regular versions carrying values from 1x to 10x the stake. They lock into position during the feature while the remaining spaces continue to Respin.
On their own, those values aren't particularly exciting. What matters is what the three teapot modifiers can subsequently do to them.
That's an important distinction because the feature isn't really about finding one enormous Cash Symbol and hoping it saves the bonus. It's about gradually improving the collection already sitting on the grid.
A fairly ordinary collection of Coins can therefore become considerably more interesting once Boost, Double or Multi gets involved.
Before Hold n Win begins, the Bonus Wheel can provide an additional advantage.
Depending on where it stops, the wheel can activate a teapot modifier that wasn't originally triggered, add extra Bonus Symbols or award the Mini, Minor or Major Jackpot.
I like this because it means the trigger isn't necessarily the final word on how strong your bonus will be.
Entering with one teapot active might initially look disappointing, but the wheel still has an opportunity to improve things before the Respins begin.
There's a nice moment of anticipation here because you already know what you're taking into the feature and can immediately see which wheel outcomes would make it considerably better.
The Hold n Win Bonus Game begins with three Respins.
Triggering Bonus Symbols remain locked while the empty positions continue spinning. Every additional Bonus Symbol that lands is also held and resets the counter to three, allowing the feature to continue until the grid is filled or three consecutive Respins fail to add anything new.
It's an extremely familiar structure, but the three modifiers give you more to watch than simply how many empty positions remain.
A new Bonus Symbol might increase the prize total, but depending on which teapots are active it can also become part of a much larger Boost, Double or Multiplier opportunity.
That's when the feature works best. You're not simply trying to fill spaces. You're trying to build something worth modifying.
The red teapot activates the Boost Feature, which acts as a Value Booster.
When it fires, between 1x and 10x is added to the values of Bonus Symbols already sitting on the grid.
This is probably the easiest modifier to appreciate because you can immediately see the collection becoming more valuable.
It's particularly satisfying when the grid is already busy. Boosting a couple of low value symbols isn't going to transform the bonus, but once you've accumulated a decent number of positions, the same modifier suddenly has much more to work with.
The teapot basically waits until you've brewed something and then decides whether it needs to be stronger.
The blue teapot activates Double, which creates a second Hold n Win grid and copies the starting Bonus Symbols onto it.
This is easily the modifier I'd most want to see.
Instead of merely improving individual values, Double gives you an entirely additional playing area and effectively creates two opportunities for the feature to develop.
It also changes the scale of the bonus immediately. One moment you're watching a conventional 5x3 Hold and Win grid, the next you've got two collections developing side by side.
Of the three teapots, this is the one that genuinely makes the feature feel different rather than simply more valuable.
The purple teapot activates Multi, introducing Random Multipliers of up to 5x to Bonus positions.
Multi becomes particularly useful when it lands on something that's already been improved by another modifier.
That's where the three teapot idea starts making more sense. Boost can increase values, Double can provide another grid and Multi can magnify individual prizes sitting within that larger setup.
Any one of them is useful.
Getting several working together is where the bonus finally starts earning the word "Super" in the title.
There are four Fixed Jackpots available.
The Mini pays 15x, Minor 30x and Major 100x, with those prizes capable of appearing as Bonus Symbols or being awarded through the Bonus Wheel. Completely filling the Hold n Win grid awards the 1,000x Grand Jackpot.
I like the Grand because it gives the Hold and Win grid an obvious ultimate target. As the number of empty positions falls, you can physically see yourself getting closer to the 1,000x prize.
It's not a progressive jackpot, but at least the Grand is tied directly to something you're doing rather than being handed out by an unrelated random draw.
3 Super Hot Teapots is easy to play and considerably better once the bonus machinery starts working, but the ordinary spins don't offer much reason to linger.
The 5x3, 25 payline base game is extremely conventional. Most of the interesting decisions have effectively been made for you, and you're largely waiting for enough Bonus activity to get the teapots involved.
Once Hold n Win arrives, the game becomes much more engaging. Having three modifiers means you're immediately assessing the quality of the feature you've triggered rather than simply celebrating the fact you've reached it.
The Bonus Wheel helps too. A mediocre trigger can suddenly become much more promising if another teapot joins before the Respins begin.
My biggest issue is the gap between the two experiences. The bonus has several things worth watching, while ordinary play feels like the journey required to reach them.
It's pleasant enough.
The good china only really comes out for the bonus.

This is comfortably where 3 Super Hot Teapots earns most of its score.
The Hold and Win itself is familiar, but the modifiers give it some useful variety. Boost makes an existing collection more valuable, Multi can create standout individual prizes and Double changes the scale of the feature completely by introducing another grid.
The Bonus Wheel is a particularly good addition because it creates another opportunity for those mechanics to come together. Starting with one modifier doesn't necessarily mean you're stuck with the weakest version of the feature.
Double is the standout for me. There is an immediate difference between watching a few Cash Symbols on one grid and suddenly having two Hold and Win areas developing simultaneously.
Where the feature loses a little ground is predictability. Once you've seen Boost, Double and Multi operate a few times, there isn't another layer beyond them.
Still, the combination system means the same bonus doesn't always arrive in exactly the same condition, and that's enough to keep it interesting.

There's something rather likeable about the presentation.
The smiling granny, animals and brightly coloured teapots give the game a much softer personality than the usual dragons, piles of gold and suspiciously wealthy pigs that tend to surround Hold and Win games.
The three teapots are also useful visually. Red, blue and purple make the modifiers easy to distinguish, and because they're permanently displayed above the reels you quickly learn what each one represents. SlotCatalog similarly highlights the polished animations and warm orange and gold presentation.
It isn't technically spectacular, but it doesn't need to be.
There's enough personality here that I'd recognise 3 Super Hot Teapots again rather than remembering it simply as "that game with three pots above the reels."
And in this particular corner of the slots market, that's more of an achievement than it sounds.
Score 7.8/10
The Bonus Wheel gives 3 Super Hot Teapots a useful twist, but there's no escaping how familiar the underlying formula feels.
The interesting part is the ability to combine modifiers. Double in particular can materially change the bonus, while getting Boost and Multi involved at the same time can turn an ordinary collection into something much more worthwhile.
I also like that the Bonus Wheel gives a weaker trigger another chance to improve. That small moment before Hold n Win begins gives the feature a bit of personality of its own.
But this is still another three pot Hold and Win game from a studio that has used the structure extensively. Even contemporary coverage of the release noted how established the three modifier formula has become within 3 Oaks' catalogue.
So I wouldn't confuse a well assembled version of the formula with an original one.
The tea is nicely brewed.
We've definitely used these teabags before.

3 Super Hot Teapots is another Hold and Win slot built around three modifiers, but it's a good enough version of the formula that familiarity doesn't completely spoil the tea party.
The ordinary 25 payline game is fairly basic and most of the personality is being saved for Hold n Win. Once that arrives, Boost, Double and Multi give you three different ways for the bonus to develop, with the possibility of activating more than one modifier at the same time. The Bonus Wheel is a particularly useful addition because it can strengthen a relatively modest trigger before the Respins even begin.
Double is the feature I'd most want to see. Creating a second grid changes the scale of the bonus rather than simply increasing a number, while Boost and Multi become more interesting when they're working on a collection that's already developing nicely.
The four fixed jackpots provide clear targets too, with the 1,000x Grand awarded for completely filling the grid. That 1,000x figure is also the maximum win supported by SlotCatalog and the game's launch coverage, so that's the figure I'd use in your database rather than the conflicting 20,000x figure appearing on one sweepstakes site.
I'd be more cautious with RTP and volatility. One source lists 96.01% and medium volatility, but specialist slot databases haven't independently verified either figure. I wouldn't hard code those as confirmed specifications without a supplier game sheet.
What you're left with is a slot that's much stronger in the bonus than it is between bonuses. It's colourful, easy to understand and the three teapots can produce some entertaining combinations, but there's no disguising the fact that 3 Oaks has poured this particular style of tea before.
It may not be a new blend, but get all three teapots brewing together and it's considerably stronger than it first tastes.
