**About Crazy Pachinko**
Crazy Pachinko is a live casino game from Evolution, released in November 2023, that takes one of the most recognisable bonuses from Crazy Time and builds an entire game around reaching it.
Rather than placing a bet directly on a Pachinko drop, you start with a slot-based **Qualification phase** where the objective is to collect three Scatter symbols. Those Scatters can arrive with multipliers of up to **10x**, which are carried forward and can eventually enhance what you win during the live bonus.
Qualify and you're given another decision before reaching the wall. The optional **Top-Up phase** provides an opportunity to accumulate additional multipliers across 16 sectors, or you can skip it and head directly into the main event.
Finally, the game switches from slots to a proper live studio where a presenter drops a puck onto Evolution's giant Pachinko wall. Multipliers from **10x to 200x** occupy the landing zones, while hitting **DOUBLE** increases all the values and sends the puck down again.
It's a clever structure because the Pachinko drop isn't simply an isolated bonus anymore. Everything you've done beforehand has been preparing for those few seconds where the puck starts bouncing between the pegs.
Evolution has essentially looked at one of Crazy Time's most popular bonus games and thought, "Why wait for the wheel to land on it?"
Fair question.
**How to Play**
**Qualification Phase**
Every game begins with the **Qualification slot**, where the objective is to collect **three Scatter symbols** and gain entry to the live Pachinko Bonus.
The particularly useful feature here is **Sticky Scatters**. Rather than immediately disappearing after a spin, Scatter symbols move down one row with each subsequent spin before eventually falling away after reaching the bottom.
That creates a genuine sense of progression because a couple of Scatters sitting on the reels give you something specific to chase on the next spin. You're not starting completely from scratch every time.
Scatters can also carry multipliers of up to **10x**, which are retained for the eventual Pachinko Bonus. Qualification therefore isn't simply about getting through the door; the quality of the Scatters you collect can influence what happens after you've entered.
I like that because it gives the opening slot a proper purpose. It's not merely a colourful waiting room before the live game.
Although when you've got two Scatters sitting there and the third refuses to arrive, it can certainly feel like one.
**Spin Modes**
There are **three ways to approach Qualification**: Normal Spin, XXXtreme Spin and Feature Buy.
Normal Spin is the standard route, where you simply play the slot and try to collect the required Scatters naturally.
**XXXtreme Spin** speeds things up by guaranteeing one Scatter on every spin, making qualification considerably more direct.
Then there's **Feature Buy**, which skips the qualification process completely and takes you straight into the Top-Up phase.
I like having those choices because not everyone will feel the same way about the opening slot. Some players will enjoy building towards the live feature, while others are realistically here because they want to watch a puck bounce down a giant wall.
Feature Buy essentially lets the second group jump the queue.
At a price, naturally. Evolution hasn't suddenly become an airline giving away priority boarding.
Once a Scatter appears it moves down one row after each spin and stays on the reels until it drops beyond the bottom, giving several chances to collect the remaining Scatters before the existing ones fall away.
Scatters can arrive with multipliers of up to 10x. Those values are carried forward into the live Pachinko Bonus, so the quality of qualification directly affects the potential final payout.
After qualification the optional Top-Up slot lets you build extra multipliers across 16 sectors. Raising the Top-Up stake can increase the multiplier values available, but you can also skip straight to the live bonus.
The live Pachinko wall contains multiplier landing zones from 10x to 200x. These combine with multipliers accumulated during Qualification and Top-Up, so earlier stages continue to influence the final result.
When the puck lands in the DOUBLE zone all wall multipliers increase and the puck is dropped again. The feature can keep escalating before it finally settles on a real multiplier prize.
The game moves into Evolution's live studio where a presenter drops a physical puck from a random starting position at the top of the giant Pachinko wall. It bounces between pegs before landing on a multiplier or DOUBLE.
Crazy Pachinko has a much better sense of progression than a conventional live casino game because reaching the main event is part of the experience. Qualification gives you something to work towards, Sticky Scatters prevent every spin from feeling completely isolated and the multiplier Scatters mean the quality of your qualification can matter as much as simply reaching the bonus. I also like the three different routes through the opening stage. Normal spins provide the conventional experience, XXXtreme Spins accelerate qualification and Feature Buy lets players who aren't particularly interested in the slot jump directly towards the live feature. Top-Up then adds another decision. You can increase your exposure in pursuit of additional multipliers or simply take what you've already accumulated into Pachinko. The live drop itself provides no player control, but it doesn't really need it. By that point you've already made your important decisions and you're watching everything you've built come down to one beautifully unpredictable puck. The main weakness is that the part most people are probably here for is locked behind Qualification. There will inevitably be sessions where you spend considerably more time watching slot reels than watching Pachinko. That's either progression or frustration depending on how quickly that third Scatter arrives.
Crazy Pachinko has an excellent feature structure because practically everything feeds into the same final event. Sticky Scatters make Qualification more engaging, Scatter Multipliers build the potential reward, Top-Up provides another opportunity to improve your position and DOUBLE can then increase the live Pachinko values before another drop. Nothing feels particularly unnecessary. I especially like the multiplier progression across the three phases. A multiplier collected during the opening slot isn't forgotten when you reach Top-Up, and the work you've done during those digital stages remains relevant once the live presenter takes over. DOUBLE is probably the standout individual mechanic. Landing there increases all the wall multipliers and triggers another drop, creating the possibility of repeated escalation before the final multiplier is determined. The only thing preventing a higher score is variety. Despite having several mechanics, everything is ultimately building towards one Pachinko drop rather than taking you into several genuinely different bonus games. But it's an exceptionally well-developed single journey.
Crazy Pachinko does an excellent job of making the transition from digital slot to live game show feel like part of the same product. The Qualification stage is colourful and deliberately reminiscent of the wider Crazy Time universe, while the eventual switch to the huge physical Pachinko wall gives the live feature a genuine sense of occasion. The wall remains the star. Watching a real puck bounce between physical pegs is inherently more entertaining than watching a digital multiplier simply appear, particularly because its direction can change several times before reaching the bottom. The presenter also has a genuine role in proceedings. Individual hosts rotate and shouldn't determine the permanent score, but having a live presenter physically handling the Pachinko drop gives the finale considerably more theatre than an automated version would have. There's a nice contrast too. You've spent the earlier stages staring at digital reels and collecting multipliers, then suddenly everything depends on one physical object making its way down a giant wall. Evolution knows exactly what everyone has been waiting for and makes the arrival at Pachinko feel like the main event.
Crazy Pachinko is a strange one to score for originality because its headline feature quite deliberately isn't original. The Pachinko wall comes directly from Crazy Time, where Pachinko has been one of the four bonus games since that title launched in 2020. Evolution isn't pretending otherwise; Crazy Pachinko was specifically launched as a standalone hybrid built around the popular Crazy Time feature. What deserves credit is everything Evolution has built in front of it. Turning Pachinko into the conclusion of a three-stage journey involving Qualification, multiplier-carrying Sticky Scatters and an optional Top-Up game gives the familiar wall a completely different structure. It's also an unusual combination of slot and live casino. Instead of adding slot-style graphics to a live game, Evolution makes you genuinely play through digital slot stages before arriving at a physical presenter-led finale. So no, Evolution hasn't invented Pachinko again. It has simply taken one of the best bits of Crazy Time and given it its own front door.
Overall Rating
8.7/10
Crazy Pachinko works because Evolution has done considerably more than simply extract the Pachinko bonus from Crazy Time and put a new logo above it.
The game begins with a proper Qualification stage where three Scatters are required to reach the live bonus. Sticky Scatters remain on the reels as they gradually move downwards, while multiplier Scatters of up to **10x** mean you're also building potential value for later in the game.
Players who don't want to wait can use XXXtreme Spin to guarantee a Scatter on every spin or Feature Buy to jump directly into the Top-Up phase. That's a useful bit of flexibility because the slot qualification will be part of the attraction for some players and simply something standing between them and the Pachinko wall for others.
The optional **Top-Up** phase then lets you accumulate additional multipliers across 16 sectors before entering the live game. Again, I like that it's optional rather than another compulsory obstacle between qualification and the feature.
Everything finally comes together on the live Pachinko wall.
The presenter drops the puck from a randomly selected starting position and you watch it bounce towards multiplier landing zones ranging from **10x to 200x**. Hit **DOUBLE** instead and all the multipliers increase before the puck is released again, giving the bonus the potential to keep building before eventually settling on a prize.
The biggest criticism is unavoidable: **Crazy Pachinko's best feature isn't actually new**. Players familiar with Crazy Time will recognise the Pachinko wall immediately, and Evolution openly launched this game around that existing bonus in November 2023.
But I don't think that makes the standalone game redundant.
Crazy Time makes you bet on one of only two Pachinko segments on a 54-segment wheel and hope the wheel actually takes you there. Crazy Pachinko makes reaching Pachinko the entire purpose of the game.
That creates a completely different experience. You're collecting Scatters, building multipliers and deciding whether to Top-Up before finally handing everything over to the puck.
It won't suit players who simply want immediate live action because a significant part of the game takes place on slot reels rather than in the studio. For anyone who particularly enjoys the Pachinko element of Crazy Time, though, building a dedicated game around it makes plenty of sense.
And the live finale remains excellent. There are considerably more technologically impressive casino bonuses around, but very few can create as much tension from simply dropping a disc down a wall.
Crazy Pachinko takes a few stages to get there, but once that puck starts bouncing, you'll remember exactly why Evolution gave it a game of its own.
