Callum Pritchard/James Owen

NO MORE BOLERO has been transformed since returning from a break in the spring and can continue his progression now stepping up in trip. James Owen’s seven year old won consecutive hurdle races at Worcester and Market Rasen before finishing runner up and third from higher marks on his next two starts. He has since demonstrated his stamina with a strong second over 2m1f on the Flat at Pontefract, suggesting this first attempt at 2m6f over hurdles is well worth exploring. He remains on a mark of 107 and Callum Pritchard’s claim reduces the burden, while the quick ground should suit.

Kieran Shoemark/Ed Walker
Live price from BetMGM
AWWJAAN shaped with plenty of promise when runner up on debut at Doncaster and can put that experience to good use. Ed Walker’s filly finished four and a half lengths behind Victoria Night over 7f, but pulled comfortably clear of the other two runners and should have learned plenty from that first outing. The daughter of Baaeed was a 260,000gns yearling and holds an Irish 1000 Guineas entry, while the step up to a mile looks a natural move on her second start. Claudette sets a useful standard and there are some well bred newcomers in opposition, but Awwjaan has significant scope for improvement and can take the required step forward.

Go Vince Go 18/1
David Allan/Tim Easterby
Live price from Boyle Sports
GO VINCE GO has yet to win this season but has produced several efforts which suggest he can be competitive from his falling mark. Tim Easterby’s three year old was beaten just half a length when third over 6f at Carlisle in August and also shaped better than eighth place suggests over this course and distance 11 days ago, finishing only three and three quarter lengths behind The Good Biscuit. He has subsequently been eased another 1lb to 76 and is now 8lbs below the mark from which he began his turf campaign. The widest draw is an obvious complication, but he carries just 8st 11lbs and looks capable of outrunning big odds.
