Irish Insider - June 13

John O'Keeffe makes his debut as our Irish racing tipster with 3 tips from todays meeting at Leopardstown.

It's great to be here with betting.bet as the new Irish racing tipster. Hopefully I can bring you some winners regularly. Todays we have racing from Leopardstown. I am drawn to MUTASARREF in the 5.55, who impressed last time out and any improvement from then should result in a comfortable win.

Irish EBF Median Sires Series Fillies Maiden (IRE Incentive Race)

TRANSCENDING - 7/4

TRANSCENDING showed promise on debut behind stablemate Sparkling Sea in a Naas maiden that has proven to be a strong race. She continued to impress last week over the same course and distance, finishing behind Bedtime Story. Gazelle D'or also made an encouraging start, overcoming some difficulties to finish second to the Ger Lyons-trained One Smack Mac at Naas last month. Riding arrangements suggest that Proxima Centauri is the preferred choice among Jessica Harrington's entries, which is unsurprising given her pedigree. Shane Foley's mount is out of the star mare Alpha Centauri, who has already produced a talented offspring in Saturn. Additionally, Now is another newcomer to watch, being a half-sister to six winners, notably the top-class Rip Van Winkle.

BoyleSports Ballycorus Stakes (Group 3)

MUTASARREF - 11/8 (NAP)

MUTASARREF is ideally suited for this trip and a firm surface, so hopefully the forecasted rain won't affect the ground conditions too much. The Ger Lyons-trained gelding often encounters trouble during races, as seen last time at Naas where he demonstrated a strong finishing kick to defeat Special Wan (now 5lb worse off). Real Appeal, who finished second in this race last year, made a winning return at Dundalk this spring before being narrowly beaten in the Group 3 Amethyst Stakes over a mile here last month. You Send Me was just denied victory in the Group 3 Athasi Stakes over this trip at the Curragh, while I Am Superman is another contender worth considering.

Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies & Mares Handicap

ANDALUSIAN STAR - 14/1 (E/W)

ANDALUSIAN STAR raced at Cork last month was almost over before it started. Sent off as the favorite for her handicap debut, she encountered significant traffic early on, causing her to fall back towards the rear. The race turned into a complete mess for her.

However, it's important to keep an eye on this unexposed daughter of Invincible Spirit. She took a while to pull up after the finish line, indicating potential. Her previous win in a Dundalk maiden has been validated, with the runner-up winning their next race. Expect a more proactive ride from Declan McDonogh in the 1m1f handicap (8.00), as the increase in distance should suit her well.
